In Celebration of

Angelo "Angie" Yantsis

November 6, 1934 -  May 14, 2022

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Angelo Yantsis in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Angela, father to Helen (Terry Walihura) and Cathy (Steve Strba), grandfather to William, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many. Predeceased by his parents Vassilious and Melpomeni Yantsis; as well as his in-laws Tom and Anastasia Kanaris. Much loved brother of the late Kay (the late Len), Pauline (Chris), the late Christine (the late Kim), Elsie (Cyril) and the late Alex. Dear brother in law of the late Bill (Sophie), Dimitra (the late John), Evdokia (Alex), Joyce (the late George) and Chrisa (the late Sam).

A Greek immigrant who became a proud Canadian, his passion for hockey and football surpassed only by his love for his family, including its canine members. He will forever be remembered for his generosity, laughter, kindness and selfless caring nature, along with the smile forever etched on his face. He enriched the lives of everyone he met and only ever saw goodness in them.

As a friend and colleague of Angelo’s daughter Helen, I offer my sincere condolences to the family at this sad time. Given Helen’s countless amazing qualities such as kindness and compassion, I have no doubt her father was a wonderful person to have passed those on to her.

Dear Angela and family,
We extend our deepest condolences to you all!
He was a very nice and happy person who was always laughing even when the others were scrapping over some card game. We sure had some good memories when we used to get together at our respective houses and the cottage with the gang! The world has one less genuine true gentleman, and he will be missed by all!
May you Rest In Peace Angelo!
