Bruno Aurelio Codnich

Passed away peacefully on October 30 in his 81st year. Loving father and father-in-law of Catherine and Joe Raso. Beloved grandfather to Natalie, Victor and Patricia Raso (Doyle Anthony). Predeceased by his loving parents Anna and Aurelio Codnich. Loving brother to Rina and Giulio DiGiandomenico, Frank and Blanka Codnich, and Bruna and Gianni. Bruno had been married to Mary Codnich for 35 years. His many nieces, nephews and extended family will miss their “Uncle Bruno.” He cherished his many lifelong friendships. Bruno was born in Tolmezzo, Italy and spent his childhood in Istria. He immigrated to Canada in 1952. Bruno worked in construction and building, and was well known for his renovation, tile work, and business “Bruno’s Tile”. Bruno was an avid outdoorsman, and had a passion for gardening and making wine. He is also missed by his companion and cat, Bella.
Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Thursday, November 2nd from 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Vigil Prayers at 3:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Annunciation of our Lord Roman Catholic Church, 280 Limeridge Rd. West, Hamilton, on Friday, November 3rd at 11:30 am.
