In Celebration of

Carol Vipari (nee Gibbons)

October 27, 1958 -  March 25, 2025

Loving wife of Henry(Hank) Vipari. She made him a better man. Supermom to Rob(Marisa), Laura(Jeff) Johanna(Gerrit) and Rico(Alexandra). Sweetheart Grandma to Janelle and Zachary, and expecting Grandma to Rob and Marisa in April. Carol will be missed by her brothers who she always looked up to, Bob(Sandra) and Larry(Susanne).

Carol had a special bond with her nieces Lisa(Chris) and Sarah(Nick) and her nephew Michael.
Carol will be missed by her sisters-in-law, Teresa(Rick), Michele(Tom) and Toni(Mark) the many nieces and nephews on the Vipari side as well as her godsons Kieran and Quinlan.

Carol was happiest when she could host the whole family get togethers. She was an excellent cook and a superlative baker. She would always try to make everyone’s favourite dessert and there was always a dobos torte at Christmas. Carol was a fearless baker and often tried new recipes. She mastered pannetone, as good as any from Sicily, because it was Hank’s favourite.

As a Psychologist Carol was professional and empathetic. She began her career at Hamilton Psychiatric Hospital and often had an affinity for the most challenging patients. After 15 years at HPH Carol was the successful candidate as the first Senior Officer Psychologist at the Toronto Police Service. Carol developed mental health support programs for many different TPS departments. She gained respect from officers throughout the service from the Chief and throughout the ranks. Through her work she helped hundreds of officers and their families.

When Carol retired from the TPS the full Honour Guard was there, including four members of the Mounted Unit. Everyone was impressed to see the horses. Carol was especially proud of her ETF gents who attended in full uniform.

Carol leaves a legacy of love, kindness and generosity.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5th, 2025 from 10 – 11 am at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road E, Hamilton. Funeral Service to follow at 11 am in the Bay Gardens Chapel.

Carol did our yearly psych evaluations when I worked at the Emergency Task Force.
She was very pleasant and engaging, everyone thought she was great and very professional. Our guys were kind of reluctant to see her at first but then realized she was there to help. Some officers took a lot away from her sessions. When I first started going to her my wife had just passed away after a 15 year battle with Cancer, We talked about everything and she helped me with my loss.
My deepest condolences.
