GORITSAS, Catherine (nee Giftopoulos)

Surrounded by her family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cathy Goritsas at the age of 59 years on Friday, November 2nd, 2018. Daughter of the late Traianos and Sofia Giftopoulos. Beloved wife of Angelo Goritsas and the best mom ever to Tommy, Vikki, Niko and Dimitri. Loving sister to Tina (George) Skandalis and Chris Giftopoulos. Loved dearly by all her nieces and nephews. She will be missed greatly by everyone who knew her. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Tuesday, November 6th from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm and Wednesday, November 7th from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm and from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Prayers for Catherine will be held at the funeral home Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 8th at 11:00 am at Panagia Greek Orthodox Church, 233 East 15th Street Hamilton. Burial will follow at Mount Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton. Catherine was taken from us much too soon. But finally at rest, from all her suffering. God found room in his garden, and called this angel home. Our sincerest and deepest sympathies and condolences to all her children and her husband. Our thoughts are prayers are with you during this difficult time. Love you all

You kept everyone you loved and cared about close to your heart. You did so many thing's for all you loved and knew.
When anyone needed you, you were always there, you stood beside our children through all the good's and bad, You stayed all night at the hospital for our grandson, your love and support you gave to him and us will always be in our hearts.
Your in God rose garden now but you will always be in our hearts. Rest in peace
