Obituary 

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Danny at the Juravinski Hospital on Thursday, June 9, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved brother of Janice and Andrea Melanson, Gerald and Carla McGhee and William and Marilyn McGhee. Adored uncle to Ava Melanson and Anjalee and Kaila McGhee. Danny will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Special thank you to Dr. Lisa Gillis and the staff at Juravinski Hospital for the unbelievable care provided to Danny. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home ‘William J. Markey Chapel’, 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Juravinski Hospital would be greatly appreciated. Please sign the online Book of Condolences at www.baygardens.ca.

My old friend and roadie brother "Say Dan", I was very sad to hear the news. We were truly brothers-in-arms, my first couple of years on the road featured Dan prominently. A loyal, steadfast, hard-working guy that I gladly shared anything I had with, and back then, we had very little. We had each other's backs, helped each other survive the insanity of those crazy days. Rest in peace old friend, and Godspeed to the Great Gig in the Sky.

Dan and I only got to work together a few times, but he was a true professional and a great guy. My sincerest condolences go out to Dan's family, I am so sorry for your loss.
