Domenico D'Amico
June 16, 1930 - December 30, 2015
Obituary
D’Amico, Domenico
June 16th, 1930- December 30th, 2015.

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, nonno, and bisnonno Domenico D’Amico, on Wednesday December 30th, 2015, at the age of 85. Devoted husband of almost 58 years to Maria (nee DiVincenzo). Loving father to Paolo (Anna), Elvira (beloved Domenico) Nocita, and Cesare. Cherished by his grandchildren Daniela (Joseph) Notarangelo, Anthony (Alexandra), Giulia (Sergio Atehortua), Raffaella Nocita, and Marco, and adored by his great-grandson Gianluca Notarangelo. Domenico (Tony) is now reunited in heaven with his father, Felice, mother, Maria (nee DiFranco), brothers Alfonso and Mariano, sister Carmela, brothers-in-law Michele DiFrato, Antonio D'Amico, Carlo Solinas, and Paolo DiVincenzo, sister-in-law Amelia DiVincenzo and son-in-law Domenico Nocita. He will be deeply missed by many family and friends, including his sisters-in-law Maria, wife of Domenico’s late brother Alfonso, Eugenia, wife of Domenico’s late brother Mariano, Antoinetta, wife of Domenico’s late brother-in-law Antonio, Bernice Solinas, wife of Domenico’s late brother-in-law Carlo, and Ida DiVincenzo, wife of Domenico’s late brother-in-law Paolo. Tony will also be missed by all of his nieces, nephews and cousins here, and in Italy.

He worked hard for over 30 years at Dofasco as a steelworker and took pride in making his own lunch each day. You could always find him outside tending to his bountiful garden, harvesting enough fruit and vegetables to feed his entire family all year-round. He was a hard-working man and his happiest moments were spent enjoying a glass of wine with dinner, surrounded by his loving family.
