In Celebration of

Domenico Polimeni

October 7, 1931 -  April 14, 2019

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Domenico Polimeni, in his 88th year at Juravinski Hospital, on April 14, 2019. Beloved husband of 63 years to Caterina (nee Arfuso). Loving father of Antoinette (Tony) Greco, Demetrio (Rosanna Faccio) Polimeni, Carmelina (Tino) Carrara, and Vivian (late Tino) Salonia. Cherished Nonno to Brandon (Alessia), Anthony, Domenic, Andrew, Sarah, Alyssa, and Genna. Bisnonno to Mattia and Luca. Predeceased by his parents Demetrio and Antonia. Siblings Caterina, Giuseppe, Anna, Carmelina, Domenica, and Giuseppina. Brother in-law of the late Rocco, the late Giuseppe (Imperia), the late Vincenza (Francesco), Leonardo (Vincenza), and Vincenzo (Giovanna). Domenico will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in Canada, Italy, and Argentina. Domenico was an avid gardener and gifted winemaker. He loved to sing. His greatest joy was spending quality time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Throughout his life, Domenico nourished his family and friends with love, generosity, and an everlasting smile. The family would like to thank the PSW’s for the hours of home-care provided to Domenico. A very special thank you to his caretaker Lily, for her devoted care, love and friendship to Domenico. Now it’s your turn to “take it easy, Nonno, Ok?” We love you.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 1-4 pm and 6-9 pm at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road E. Hamilton. Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday April 23, 2019 at 10:00 am at Regina Mundi Parish, Hamilton. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Burlington.
