STEPHENS, Donna (nee George) 1948-2017
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother at St. Peter's Hospital on December 21, 2017. Donna will be missed by her daughters Kimberly Baptist (John Cheeseman) and Allison Seguin (Armand). She was the devoted grandmother of Haley Rose, Luke & Mia. Survived by partner Alec Balogh, mother Blodwen George (the late John), sister Janice Holtby (Glen), and brothers Ken George (Karen), the late Murray George (Sheena). Donna was the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews and will be missed by many friends both here and in Florida. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the kind staff at St. Peter's Ward 3 West, with special appreciation to Dr. Bev Hattersley for her exceptional care. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel at Bay Gardens Funeral Home following the visitation at 11:00 am. I worked with Donna for her duration of employment at Treasure Hunt in port colborne. She and I quickly became close and she became like a grandmother to me. Her positive attitude was always contagious and she always spoke fondly of her family and friends. Our running thing we had together was me looking and setting aside all things Peppa Pig. On multiple occasions I would surprise her with little peppa pig things that I picked up. Donna always was and always will be a shining light and I will remember her fondly. My deepest sympathies to the family during this difficult time. Love Sarah
