Dr. Dechert, Kenneth Irwin
Peacefully at The Meadows in Ancaster on March 28th, 2015 at the age of 86. Predeceased by his loving wife Virginia Dechert (nee Noonan) of 59 years. Survived by his children Ken (Ramona), Bob (Ruth) and Lisa (Leo). Cherished papa of William, Keegan and Kendra. Brother of Helen, the late John (Karen) and Douglas (Brenda). Brother-in-law of the late Dr. William (Sheila) Noonan and the late Ross (Joan) Noonan. Cousin of Reverend Charles (Joyce) Dechert. Lifelong friend of Dr. Michael & the late Eleanor Fair, Ed & Joyce Jones and Harry & the late Marie Lemon. He will also be missed by many other family and friends. Ken was a skilled obstetrician & gynaecologist, practicing in Stoney Creek and Hamilton, specifically at the Henderson (Juravinski) Hospital. He was a talented musician all his life playing the saxophone and organ and performing in his later years as a member of the Ancaster Senior Achievement Center Golden Swing Band and the Dundas Concert Band. Ken's family would like to personally thank all of the wonderful caregivers and staff of the Meadows Long Term Care Home who provided loving care to Ken and Virginia in their final years.
