2 Timothy 4:7-8
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."

As a young and really naive kid from Northern Ontario, moving to Hamilton and McMaster in 1973 was a lonesome and scary experience. Ed Duarte made that transition much easier, first as a fellow McKay Hall resident and then in second year as a room mate and beyond that as a friend. Ed, you taught me so many things; how to survive at University and in the big city of Hamilton, how a smile goes a long way, how you could actually build a loft in a McKay Hall residence room and how to live life to the fullest. To say that you opened my eyes to that great big world out there is an understatement. Although our paths went in different directions after university as life took over, you were and always are in my thoughts.
Patty and family my deepest sympathy for your loss.

Ed was an incredible mentor to me and the sales team at Bayshore Broadcasting.
His passion for radio sales and for ensuring that clients got results from their advertising investment was the foundation that we built on. He was an incredible resource for our industry and he left a strong legacy.
I am so thankful for having met and worked with this great man.
He helped me charter my course and I am forever grateful for his leadership and support.
Dan and I send our deepest condolences to family and friends.
RIP Ed. |

Hi, David ... I'm so very sorry about your dad. I never met him, but I can tell by looking at his photo, that he was a kind, fun-loving man. It does not surprise me at all that you possess that same kindness, to your friends and also to animals. Please continue to be the caring young man that you are .... Denise |
