It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our mother Elena Carmina Di Loreto in her 82nd year, has now been reunited in Heaven with her beloved Angelo, husband of 56 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Enzo (Christine), Luigi (Paula) and Teresa (Mike Countryman). She adored her granddaughters: Deanna, Jennie, Ellie, Meghan, Tessa, Michaela, Isabella, Danielle and her great-granddaughters Meara and Ava Mae.

Predeceased by her parents, Paolo and Elisabetta Fasciani, and her parents-in-law Antonio and Maria Di Loreto, sister Maria, Elvira and husband Franchino Giancola. Brothers Mario and Gino, brother in laws Luigi Di Loreto and sister in laws Nilla Di Loreto, Dina and husband Luigi Carlucci.

She will be deeply missed by her sister Lucia (Goffredo) Bartolucci, brother Fernando and Gabriella Fasciani of Italy and brother in law Domenico (Iolanda) Di Loreto of Hamilton, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, compari, godchildren and friends.

Elena was born in Molina Aterno, province of L’Aquila in Abruzzo Italy, she married Angelo in 1961 and moved to Hamilton to begin her life with her husband and raise their children. When you were in her home she would always offer you a drink, food or better one of her homemade delicious Italian cookies. Her cook book with its treasured recipes will be safely guarded! She is now with Angelo watching WWE wrestling and giving the wrestlers a few choice words!

We wish to thank the staff at the Willowgrove Nursing Home for their care and compassion over the past few years. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Thursday, December 14 from 2-4p.m. and 7-9p.m. Virgil prayers Thursday, December 14 at 3:00p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 15 at 10a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 165 Prospect St., Hamilton. Entombment will follow at Bayview Cemetery and Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Anthony of Padua Church of Hamilton where Elena enjoyed attending since her arrival in Hamilton. She will always be remembered for her smile and to the end of her last day....okay...I love you...me too!
