It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elio Bachetti on May 16, 2016 in his 87th year. A loving Papa to Dana and loving Nonno to Emily and Elio McCarthy-Bachetti. A rekindled friend of Ivana and a father to Italia and family and Elia and family. Dear brother of Mario (Luigina), the late Emidio (Maria), the late Luigi (Anna), Francesco (the late Filomena), the late Bice Barbizzi (Francesco), Pia Federici (Guerriero). A brother-in-law to Gabriella (the late Mario) and Fernanda (the late Francesco). Uncle to Lucy (Nick), John (Cindy), Claudio and Marcella (Luca). Wonderful uncle to Lorena and Nick, Carla and Rob, Danny, Lucio and Laura, Mauro and Luciana and many more nieces and nephews of Italy. A member of Padre Pio of St. Anthony di Padua. Thank you to all the staff at Grace Villa Nursing Home and all the nurses at the Hamilton General CCU for their wonderful care.

Visitation at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME 'William J. Markey Chapel' 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton (905-574-0405) on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm. Vigil Prayers will be said at 8:30pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, 20 Idlewood Avenue, Hamilton on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 10am. Entombment to follow at Bayview Cemetery & Mausoleum, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
