Obituary
BERTOIA, Emilio (Nanny/Nan)
November 5, 1920 - December 13, 2015

After a brief illness Dad passed peacefully and comfortably at Juravinski Hospital. He leaves his son Brian (Bev) of Merritt BC, daughter Michele (Phil) of Hamilton; grandchildren Briana Lansing (Mark) of Calgary, Tony (Dani) of Merritt BC, Eryl Eccles (Scott) of Hamilton, Matthew Morgan of Kurosaki, Japan, as well as great-grandchildren Cara and Blake Lansing of Calgary. Emilio also leaves many nieces and nephews locally and in Sudbury where he always looked forward to reuniting with his second family.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff on Ward B3 for their outstanding care and compassion. Words cannot express our gratitude. Alice, Brenda, Lela and Michele you left your mark on our father's heart as well as our own.

THANK YOU!

Dear Brian and Michelle your Dad was a great guy and he will be missed. Whenever we met him at the fennel plaza he always made us laugh, telling us stories about his trips with Dr Ricci. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. All our love Blackie and Dolores

I was a boy of 10(?) among only sisters. A knock on the door and it was Uncle Nanny! - I always enjoyed his welcome, happy, spontaneous visits. He rescued me from "the women" that evening and took me and his son, Brian, to see Gene Autry at the Hamilton Forum on Barton Street...probably in that Model A Ford of his. I still remember the show and Uncle sharing his time so generously with his nephew. Thank you. A big part of my growing up.
