Gabriele Zenone
Entered into rest peacefully after a long battle with Leukemia on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Gabriella Vera for 53 years. Devoted father of Antonina and Claudio Angelone, Fiore and Juli, and Mauro and Kim. Loving and proud nonno of Damian, Andrew, Owen, Isabella, Zachary, Massimo, Nathan, Santino, and Greyson. Predeceased by his parents Fioravante and Antonia Zenone and his father-in-law and mother-in-law Romeo and Iolanda Bertolini. Much loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Ettore Zenone, the late Paolo and Serafina Zenone, the late Attilio and Maria Zenone, the late Emidio (Luigi) and Lucia (Giulia) Zenone, the late Grazia and the late Corrado Colantoni, Maria and the late Gabriele Biscotti, the late Sante and Giselda Zenone. Dear brother-in-law of Pasqualino and Giovanna Bertolini, Renato and Giovanna Bertolini. Survived by many friends and relatives in Italy, Belgium, Canada and the United States.
Thank you to all the staff at Juravinski Hospital especially Dr. Wasi, the Hemotology team and ODS. Gabriele was a longtime member of the Associazione Culturale Di Penne E Paesi - D'Intorni and the Associazione Nazionale Alpini Hamilton. He worked at Stelco for 32 years as a crane operator. Apart from work Gabriele loved to spend time on his hobby farm and tending to his garden, and most importantly spending time with all his grandchildren.
Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Vigil prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, 63 Highway 20 East, Stoney Creek on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Cemetery, Stoney Creek.
