In Celebration of

Gaetano Di Campli

June 9, 1945 -  April 2, 2019

Di CAMPLI, Gaetano

June 9th, 1945 – April 2nd, 2019

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a beloved husband, father and nonno. Beloved husband of Concetta Gaeta for the past 52 years. Loving father of Tania, and reunited with his daughter Claudia (Gordon) Chiarot. Proud Nonno to Alessandra, Julia and Gabriel. Predeceased by his parents Nicola and Maria of Italy. Much loved brother of Elvira (Giovanni) Salerno, Giuseppe (Pierina), the late Antonio (Tonetta), the late Angelina (Giovanni) Fiumefreddo of Italy, and the late Anna (Nicola) Torosantucci of Hamilton. Brother-in-law to Joe (Olga) Gaeta of Beamsville, Lunetta (Tonino), Adriana (Vincenzo) D’angelo and Aldo (Patrizia) Gaeta of Italy, and loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and Italy.

One of Gaetano’s passions was travelling with his grandchildren to and from multiple sporting events and practices. Beyond his dedication and commitment to his family, he loved his Sunday visits with his Sweet Paradise crew, his evening strolls to the Chedoke Bocce Club, his many dinners at the Donnici and Alpini clubs, and the many friendships he made working as a sewer foreman for 43 years with Dufferin Construction Company.

Family and friends are welcomed to visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Parish at Corpus Christi site, 1694 Upper James St., Hamilton on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 9:00 am. Burial at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Ancaster.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Gaetano’s love for his family, generosity of friendship and enjoyment of life will be sorely missed by all those that knew him.

From the time I moved from Oakville, Gaetano was of my good friends. We saw each other at water fit at Sir Allan MacNab, at the Bocce Club almost every night and even enjoyed several coffees at your house. We are both deeply saddened by this news and unfortunately we are leaving on vacation Thursday so cannot say our final goodbyes. Joe Comparone

He made every Wednesday at the bingo a good laugh. In addition, he was a great help putting the tables and chairs away. He will be missed. JoAnne Bonaventura, secretary at the Chedoke Bocce Club.
