We were sitting around the kitchen table awaiting the arrival of Jen and David over a bottle of wine. The call came and they were on the 401 East in Oshawa. It took a few more calls, a bit more wine and some better directions from dad and a very pregnant Jen (pregnant with Brooklynn) and Dave finally made it safely to the cottage. We had a great weekend, lots of laughs. Aug 2005

It was June 6, 2015!!!! Ily Harper Reece made her appearance early...... 2 weeks early. Grandpa couldn't wait to come meet her. We were staying with mom and dad on Lyndhurst in Pinegrove. Grandpa came out to visit and meet Ily. He sat on moms couch for hours, rubbing ilys hand, kissing her, staring at her new little face, and gazing out the window at all the beautiful wild life outback. No one will ever know the thoughts going through this beautiful mans mind that day, but the moments and pictures that were captured that day were nothing but breathtaking!!! We asked him a few times if he needed a break but there was no way anyone was taking her. He sat so uncomfortable and let his arm fall asleep for hours, but that didn't matter to him, he was right where he wanted to be and loving every second of it. I know he loved my kids, he never even had to say it out loud all you had to do was look at his face, it said it all.

My best memory will be when I came over to see you before work one morning . Because you were in pain and so upset I just sat on the floor and held your hand and sang along to you with your favorite music station. After awhile you started to tap your foot along with me singing. We stayed that way for over an hour until you fell asleep. I will cherish that memory forever. Thank you for that special time. Love you forever dad. Lin

I wish I had more time with you, it's something I didn't think I needed to rush because you were always there if I need to talk wiring your there I miss you. The thing I remember most is when I was a kid on that moped up at the cottage. You let me on it and I hit the gas, then I hit the tree right after, never got on it again but that was fun. I miss the time when we were in the garage back at the old house and you taught me how to tear down a lawn mower and rebuild it. So much stuff my mom would not let me do but you did. Most of all that last time you help me install my fog light in my tj, it's the last time I got to get my hands dirty with you and it sucks your gone.

When I was 13 years old my dad got a 340 motoski snowmobile.
For me and him to work on.
We put a 440 motoski engine in it.
Then we made the skis wider
Then waxed and armorall the seat.
Then dad got on it to test it and jumped over a snow bank .
The snowmobile landed but not dad he slipped off the freshly polished seat .
He got up and laughed and said that it was not a very good idea to armor-all the seat.
