Penner, Grace
1932-2017

Peacefully, on Monday, May 22, 2017 our dear mother passed away surrounded by the love of her family, comfortably at home. Grace is predeceased by her first husband, James Abercrombie (1987) and her second husband, John Penner (2016). She will be deeply missed by her daughters Ann McKay (Stephen McKay) and Carol Abercrombie. Adoring grandma to Andrew McKay (Catherine Schembri), Alexandra McKay (Isaac Copeland), Riley Gallagher (Ivy Gallagher), Grayson Gallagher and Gage Gallagher.

Our sincere gratitude for home support provided by Gerset Francis, Kelly Nott, Janie Poyton and Lori Morton as well as medical support from Dr. Katica Sumanac, Dr. Anthony Kerigan and Helen t’Hart (VON).

Grace worked as the Administrative Assistant to Dr. Homer Beattie, Chair of the Department of Surgery at McMaster University in the latter part of her career. She had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel in her spare time.
