In Celebration of

Greg Twomey

September 13, 1964 -  May 1, 2017

TWOMEY, Gregory Andrew

It is with great sadness that the Twomey girls announce the unexpected passing of their cherished and devoted husband and father, Greg. Left to grieve are his wife and best friend Lisa and his loving, special daughters, Annalise and Rosemary. Greg will be missed by his loving mother Susan, big brother Tim (Janet), his "birthday treat" sister Linda, and his baby sister Julie. Greg was a special son-in-law to Brian and Antonina McHugh and "fishing bro" to Patrick (Peggy) and Brian McHugh. Greg was a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews, loved nephew and cousin to many. Predeceased by his father, Ralph, niece Libby, brother-in-law Daniel and grandparents Angus and Bernice Twomey, Andrew and Margaret McNash. The most important people to Greg were his wife and daughters, with whom he had planned many adventures as his engineering career at Ford Motor Company had ended March first. Greg will rest close to his favourite place, Port Franks, where he bird-watched from his top deck and paddled L-Lake.

Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Friday May 5th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm, vigil prayers at 8pm. Funeral mass will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 1694 Upper James St, Hamilton on Saturday May 6th at 10 am, followed by refreshments at Bay Gardens. Donations may be made in Greg's name to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Please sign the online Book of Condolences at www.baygardens.ca.

I read once that a man is judged by how he looks after his family. That would make Greg a hero. He was such a great husband to Lisa. A magnificent father to Annelise and Rosemary. Rest in Peace. Love

We will miss him with you. Our hearts pour our love across the ocean, we so wish we could be there for you. We will take many blurry underwater fish photos in his memory.
