Consoli, Guido
June 5, 1927 - July 8, 2022
With broken hearts we sadly announce that our wonderful Dad, Nonno and Great-Nonno, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, in his 96th year.
He is now forever reunited with the love of his life Marianna (2015), whom he missed every second of every day. We can picture them now holding hands on heavens porch, smiling as they always did, always together and working together in their heavenly garden.
Our Dad loved and adored his family. He always worked hard to provide a better life for us and made many sacrifices in his life to ensure that were well taken care of. Thankfully, we were able to tell him once more before he left us, how much we loved and appreciated him.
Guido was predeceased by his parents Domenico and Giovanina, brothers Frank, Vincenzo, and sisters Gina, Elvira, and Angelina. Guido is survived by his sister-in-law Maria (Vincenzo), and many more extended family members, that will miss him deeply.
Guido was born in San Donato di Ninea, Italy, and when he came to Canada, he became a cement mason, through hard work and desire to improve his life and that of his future family. He worked on many landmarks, City Hall, Cops Coliseum, the Convention Centre, Niagara Falls Tower, and many others. Like many immigrants, he helped build this country.
He will live on forever in the hearts of his children, Dominic (Valerie), Pat, James, Joanne (Ted) and Mary (Brian). Loving Nonno to Aaron (Kristina), Lana (Jay), Brandon (Melody), Eric, Brianne, Danielle (Paul), Mathew (Lexi), Kristin, Adam (Lindsay), Tina, Jacklyn. Cherished Great-Nonno to 20 Great-Grandchildren, with another on the way.
Caro Papa, ti ameremo per sempre nei nostri cuori per l'infinito.
Special thanks and love to the hard working nurses, doctors and all those who cared for him to the end at the Juravinski Hospital, especially Dr. Fraser and staff of the cancer clinic and all the great nurses in ODS. Thank you also, to all blood donors, everywhere.
