HERD, Harry Uden
Passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday, October 15, 2017, in his 91st year. Predeceased by his first wife Pearl, and son Bradley. Will be sadly missed by his sons, Cal (Kelly) and Craig. Grandchildren Lindsey Barrett (Keith), Jason (Anca), Brent, Adam, Ryan and Raquel. Great Grandchildren, Sophia, Layla, Annie Hayden, Jade and Riley. Beloved husband of Margaret Herd. Born in Methil, Scotland and immigrated to Canada with his mother at the age of 3. He worked for the CNR and Vial Rail for 36 years before his retirement in 1987. In retirement he resumed playing baseball in the Hamilton Old Sports Slow Pitch Association where he actively participated for over 20 years. Thank you to the staff in the CICU unit at the Juravinski Hospital for your kind compassionate care this past while. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Thursday, October 19th from 1:00 pm until the time of Memorial Service at 2:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations to the Ontario Lung Association would be appreciated. Please sign the online Book of Condolences at www.baygardens.ca

So sorry to hear about Harry's passing. He was a great person & loyal friend he will truly be missed especially by Dad (Bob). So many memories can't even begin to count over the years that we will cherish (90% were CN or baseball related). Hugs to you all!!

So sad to ear of Harry ' s passing, I send my sincere condolences to his family. We were very happy to see Harry come out to our Slo-pitch games recently. He really enjoyed himself.
