It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helena Josipovic (nee Grgic). She peacefully passed away on March 1st, 2024 in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Josip. Cherished mother of Peter (Joan), John (Deborah), and the late Steven (Mirella). Loving grandmother of Alicia, Sarah, Jade, Justice and Jacob. With a sense of humour, she faced life head-on, always ready with a witty remark or a playful joke. She loved to make her grandchildren her signature dishes of cabbage rolls, goulash, and pita, all served with a side of her famous directive, "eat and shut up”. Bubba Jospo had a habit of bidding "Goodbye Charlie" to those who no longer served her well. She was the self-appointed neighbourhood watch of Organ Crescent, just remember, Bubbs is always watching. She was a hard working woman who always took care of her family and never complained. She walked the Kenilworth stairs until she couldn’t walk anymore. She will forever be one of the toughest women who was “strong like bull”. Though she may no longer walk among us, Bubbs will forever remain in our hearts as a beacon of strength, humour, and love. Rest in peace, dear Bubba. Your legacy will continue to inspire us always. A visitation will take place on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Bay Gardens Funeral Home (947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton). A funeral mass will take place on Saturday March 9, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Croatian Parish (1883 King Street East, Hamilton) with interment to follow at Mount View Cemtery, Stoney Creek.
