To Ian's Family and Friends,

The "Henderson Family" formerly of Stoney Creek sends our condolences to the "Deans Family".
Ian's determination and diligence in his early entry into politics, set him far apart from other politicians. His flare in the political field was successfully his own style. No other politician had the energy and dynamics he portrayed. He loved people and we saw that in him in the late 60's. The Henderson Family participated in his many political campaigns and supported his every election. We were proud to be part of his feisty spirit and vision.
His inspiration given to Carl Henderson and Colin Issacs, the new Stoney Creek Councillors in 1977 was second to none. He addressed issues to them with determination and resolve. Their successes were a direct contribution from Ian.
Later on, Ian strived most as a team player in providing our community (Hamilton) with peace and harmony. We watched him evolve with grace and dignity.
To the Family and Friends, please know Ian will be in our memories and hearts forever.

Thank you "Ian", you will be missed.

Janis and family, Diane, children and grandchildren. Mary and I were saddened to hear of our cousin Ian passing. I remember many good times that I had with him along with great stories and laughs. I know that he had a special place in the hearts of my parents as they did in his. His sickness took much from him but we can be assured that he had a "life well lived."

Isaiah 40:31New International Version (NIV)

but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
