Very sorry to have to say good bye to a co-worker, and friend. Worked a lot of jobs with Jim, and other Parker bros. plenty of Ti-cat games in Hamilton, and old Exhibition Stadium in Toronto. Tithe half time runs up the street to an apt for bratwurst and refreshments. Remember a Saturday in the mid seventies with Jim, Bob, Danny Kowalchuk trying to get a piano into Jim's basement. Got down the stairs, but couldn't get passed the duct work. Back up the stairs, and around to front door. Got in the front door, but couldn't quite turn into living room. After a couple more pops, we took out a saw, and trimmed the corners off, and got piano into living room. After a few lessons, the piano was abandoned. A trip to a sisters home after an Argo game. Had Jim, Bob, Mike Binkley, another large Parker, my self and my brother-in-law jammed into a 69 Chev. While at the sister'shome mike was very loud and profane. We convinced him that the lady he was getting chummy with was a nun, home for a visit. He started drinking tea, acted the perfect gentleman. My brother-in-law took over from Mike. So we thought it was time to leave. We had to stop a couple of times along the way so this 130 lb drunk could get out and challenge someone 100lb bigger than him. The only way we shut him up was to drive away and leave him. After h walked a half a mile he got in and behaved. Thanks for the memories Jim, see you on the other side. Wray McLean, Local 105, old friend.
