Joan Edythe Milne
August 4, 1922 - December 27, 2015
Obituary
Milne, Joan Edythe (nee Raymond)
Peacefully on December 27, 2015 at Billings Court Manor in Burlington, in her 94th year, Joan joined her beloved husband, Jack (John) of 63 years. As a cherished Mom, she leaves behind the love of her children Rob (Janice), Alison, and Cam (Lisa). Loving grandmother to Innis (Devon), Ceilidh, and Melissa. Survived by her sister Phyllis (Alan), and aunt to Pete (Tina) and Miss Martha Massey. She will always be remembered as a beautiful spirit who was loving and supportive to all her family, and friends.

Joan was a grateful lifetime member of her Sorority Sisters, and her Thesaurus Club. She cherished those memories and friendships till the end. She was an avid book reader, and loved a good crossword. She loved traveling around the world with her husband.

The family thanks the staff at Billings Court Manor for their wonderful care and concern throughout her stay. As well, send our appreciation to the staff at Burlington Gardens Retirement Community where Joan and Jack resided for many years.

We are very sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Joan. She was always smiling and very generous to me & Laura when she was very young. When we lived in Winnipeg she would call me when she heard of bad weather even THE FLOOD she'd say, " Oh poor Susan". Glad her family was with her. My prayers go out to all my Cousins. Love Hugs, Susan

I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Joan and wished I visited her more often. She always had such a nice smile and always wanted to know what was going on in our lives. I think Uncle Jack and Aunt Joan telling me about all their travels inspired my love of travel too. To Rob, Allison , Cam and your families my deepest sympathies but you were lucky to have your Mom for such a long time she was very proud of her family. My thoughts are with you . Love Ann

In high school I joined a sorority, not the same one as Aunt Joan, but nevertheless she gave me a sterling hair barrette with her soroity's name engraved on it. I felt quite sophisticated wearing it.
I will always think of her engaging smile and the gracious way she put up with Uncle Jack's teasing.
My condolences to you, Rob, Cam and Alison.

Sincerely,
Barbara
