Dougherty, John Frederick, O.N. (May 26, 1934 - October 29, 2017)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack, on October 29th, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Lillian for over 58 years. Cherished father of Catherine, David (Janice), Karen (Michael Methot) and Sharon (John Poloniato). Dear grandpa of Gregory (Tiffany), Kelsey, Andrew, Luc, Nicole and David. Greatgrandpa to Kennedy, McKinley, Reagan and Jackson. Jack will be missed by his sister Evelyn Curnew and brother Robert (Marjorie). He will be fondly remembered by his many friends and relatives. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton (905.574.0405) on Wednesday, November 1st from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service on Thursday, November 2nd at 1:30 p.m. at Christ's Church Cathedral, 252 James Street North, Hamilton). Cremation to follow. Special thanks to the staff at Juravinski Hospital for their care and compassion.
