Obituary
McAdam, John Francis

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, John passed away on November 22, 2015 at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice at the age of 64. Beloved husband of Pat (Terejko) for 39 years. Devoted father of Erin (Johnathan) Salciccioli, Matthew (Stephanie) and Shane (Jillian). Cherished and proud Papa of Myles and Eliot. Dearest brother of Sherrie (Joe) Sadauskas. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Mary McAdam. John's wisdom, guidance and laughter will be greatly missed by his extended family and many close friends.

To all of us, he was our quiet Hero.

The family wishes to thank the medical personnel at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, the nurses in ODS at the Juravinski Hospital, Joanne and Theresa of CCAC and the caring staff at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice.

Donations to the Children's Aid Societies of Hamilton (CCAS or CAS) or the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to John's family at this very difficult time. Cherish your fondest memories of John and keep them closest to your heart.

I had the pleasure of working with John on a few CAS reviews and I will tell you, he was a gem. His thoughtful ways, his wealth of information and infectious laughter was all too consuming. After the reviews, I have often thought how John was doing, and I was shocked to hear that he has passed. I will tell you he will definitely be missed in this world as he was a shining star, now we only have to look up in the sky at night and see that he is there.

My sincerest condolences.

Dear Pat and family.......we were saddened by the news of John's passing, but feel so lucky to have known such a wonderful man. He leaves behind a true legacy of your children and grandchildren. He was rich if this is measured by love and will never be far from you all. He will continue to watch over you and insure you smile every time you think of him. He will be missed by all who knew him. We thoroughly enjoyed his company and nothing matched the look on his face when he was looking at you Pat! Love and hugs, Larry and Brenda

I had the pleasure of getting to know John as he was a regular patient at the Admitting Dept. I still can recall the first day John walked into the department for his first visit....I remembering thinking what a big strong healthy good looking man. He carried himself to perfection....as time passed and l got to know John better...my heart was telling me "there is no way that cancer is going to bring this wonderful man down" I couldn't have been more wrong.....me heart is truly broken to know of the passing of this absolutely wonderful man. May he Rest In Peace and his family treasure all of the wonderful memories of a truly great man. My deepest sympathy to all his friends & family.
