Passing on August 20th 2017 at the Hamilton General Hospital in his 91st year, surrounded by his beloved wife Karin, family and friends. Loving father of Christopher (Amy) and Heidi. Loving Grandfather to Julia, Nicholas and Alexis.

Joe was born March 5th, 1927 in Graben, Yugoslavia. He immigrated to Canada in 1951 at the age of 24. In 1953 he established J. Gollob Construction Ltd. building homes throughout the area including the family home in Dundas. Anyone who worked with him knew his reputation of being honest, trustworthy and a hard working businessman. His passion for business was unprecedented by all who knew him. He was a member of the Continental Austrian Club for 50 years and served as President for 12 years and a member of the Hunter and Fischer Club. He also had a passion for cards and was well known for his sense of humour and generosity. He loved spending time at the cottage and travelling. Special thanks to the Doctors and Staff at the General Hospital in the Heart and Stroke Unit on 7 South and the Rehab Center.

Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 1010 Botanical Drive, BURLINGTON (905.527.0405) on Saturday August 26th from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. A Memorial Service held in Chapel at 12:00 p.m. followed by Interment at Bayview Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations to the General Hospital Heart and Stroke Rehabilitation Center would be appreciated. Please sign the Online Book of Condolences at www.baygardens.ca
