It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Karl on Thursday, August 17, 2017 in his 62nd year. Beloved husband of Janice (nee Nelson). Dearly loved father of Krystle (Brandon) and Ashley (Drew). The best grandpa to Brooke, Kate, Jake and Harper. Loved son to Hildegard and the late Florian Seifried and son-in-law to Ken Sr. and the late Kay Nelson. Brother to Ron (Liz) and brother-in-law to Ken and Jeff (Donna) Nelson. Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Sunday, August 27 from 1-4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A private family service will be held at Michaelangelo's, 1555 Upper Ottawa on Monday, August 28. Donations can be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or Emmanuel House, 90 Stinson Street.

My deepest condolences to Karl's family. He was a tough competitor and real nice guy as well. I'm very saddened to hear about his passing and I will miss him.
