In Celebration of

Kenneth William Johnson

July 25, 1928 -  June 16, 2017

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Ken, after a courageous battle with cancer at Freeport Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario. For 62 years he was the loving husband of Mary (deceased 2008). The father of Stephen (Mary), Debra and David (Patricia). Loving grandad of Scott and Keltie. Predeceased by his father William and mother Elsie; and survived by brother Bruce (Shirley) along with nieces and nephews. Ken was a 40 year employee at the Steel Company of Canada and was an active organizer for Minor Football in Montreal, Quebec and Minor Baseball in Burlington, Ontario. In later years, Ken displayed a love for listening to local live music in and around Burlington. Special Thanks to Anne-Marie for her love and support over the past 8 years; along with the caring nurses of the Palliative Care Unit at Freeport. A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 1:00 pm at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME 1010 BOTANICAL DRIVE, BURLINGTON ON. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carpenter Hospice in Burlington or to the Salvation Army. Online condolence may be made at www.baygardens.ca.
