WALTON, Kevin Timothy David
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Kevin on Sunday, February 3rd, 2019, in his 57th year. After a courageous battle with cancer, Kevin lost his fight at Juravinski Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Kevin is survived by his devoted wife Christina Walton (nee Magri), loving children Kevin/KJ (Jaclyn) and Jenna (Michael) and adoring grandchildren Kal-El and Ryker. Son of the late John and Martha “Pat” Walton and son-in-law of the late Albert and Tina Magri. Brother of Bonnie (late Ken), Candy (Jim), late Sandy, Nancy (Victor), Ritchie (late Christine), Randy (late Donna), Robin (Charlie) and Patti. Brother-in-law of Greg (Sandy), Carol (Brian) and Sandra (late Lawrence). Survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.
Sports were one of Kevin’s biggest passions. He was an avid golf lover and certified teacher. Kevin’s proudest moment of golf was when he got a hole-in-one in 1985. Kevin’s favourite teams included the Habs (Montreal Canadiens) and Miami Dolphins. His favourite golfer was Tiger Woods. Kevin looked forward to his annual golf trip to Six Foot Bay with his closest friends and especially his winter trips with his Chrissy.
Kevin was proud of and enjoyed spending time working on our yards at each home we lived at. He always said they were Trillium winners. His favourite pastime was watching T.V. particularly HGTV, The Voice and all of the Star Trek series. He also had an unknown guilty pleasure of bird watching from the comfort of our backyard.
Kevin had a strong personality which allowed him to excel at the job he held close to his heart. Flynn Group of Companies always went above and beyond to accommodate and support Kevin so he may enjoy both his work life and his personal life while also receiving cancer treatment.
We would like to send many thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Juravinski ICU Division. As well, special thanks to Nurse Cassandra who was a great comfort and gave dignity and respect to Kevin and the family during his final moments.
