Please accept our sincere condolences on the sad loss of Luisa. Both Delio and I have met up with Luisa in the past six months, and clearly she was struggling and very honest about her disease and educating us on it. What struck us both were her kind comments on losing our Grandson in 2012. She was very sad for us and extended her condolences, even though she was clearly struggling herself. Kind and selfless, humourous when we spent times with her way back when. Great hair and lovely colour, and her wonderful husband and dearest children/grandchildren, the loves of her life. May you rest in peace Luisa, and dance with the Angels, and watch over your loves for always. The Carlesso Family |

My fondest memories of luisa were spending our christmas holidays together in Acapulco. Meeting by the pool in the afternoon and sharing a drink all the while talking up a storm about everything and nothing. We would talk for hours and share stories about life our families. We saw our children grow into adults and have children of their own. I am glad I had this time with her. God bless her with eternal peace and bless her family. |

Zia Luisa,
You've been there my whole life. I am so grateful my mother and you kept us girls close growing up. I used to stay over at you house all the time and you always treated me like another daughter. I remember your brown mini van and how you used to play music and Jordanna and I would sing with all our hearts 'I have Monday's' Boomtown Rats, Celine Dion, Roxette. I'm sure I have you to thank for going to my first concert, New Kids on the Block; for sure it was all your idea and my mom went along with it. I remember the time I went to Acapulco at Christmas with you, Uncle Ed Jordanna and Bianca, I was in grade 12 and you trusted Jordanna and I with a lot of freedom (note to self, I will not be giving my kids as much freedom). The best part was New Year's Eve by the pool with the Longo's, that was a really nice family tradition. We used to have the best telephone conversations when I lived in Toronto with your Jordanna, you used to call 5 times a day and when you would catch me, we would chat about Jordanna's love life (your favourite topic before she got married) and I would give you details because I knew she wouldn't. Example question 'Now, did he call her or did she call him?' You liked to have fun and you came to the night club with my mom on my 25th birthday and that was so much fun, all our friends thought that Jordanna and I had the coolest moms. You were such a trend setter, always in-the-know of all the new stores, finding the best stuff at Winners, that if anyone else were to go there to get the same thing, they would never find it. I shared your love of jewelry and we had full conversations about the history of every piece you wore and how you liked to treat yourself once in awhile to something new - and I like to do that too! You were so good to me over all the years always keeping in contact and calling me about really anything and everything. I miss you Zia.
The things I will miss most about you:
1. Your voice, so distinctive.
2. Your hair. No one has hair like you.
3. Your smile because you only used it sparingly and your hardy laugh which was infectious.
4. Your questions and the way you re-word your questions in case someone tries to evade them.
5. Your opinions. I love how unafraid you were to be real and speak your mind.
6. The way you gushed at the little things, like how you gushed over Cruz, Emie and Mila and your little dogs and things you bought for the kids.
7. Your fashion sense and style.
8. The way you reminded me that I was also your God daughter and so that made me special to you.
9. The cards you wrote me, making sure to always say something uplifting and nice. How you would buy my daughters really thoughtful gifts at Christmas and birthdays. I have a bunch of Zia Luisa outfits in their closets.
10. How you would give me things because you knew I would appreciate them because we shared the same taste in most things.
11. I have so many good memories with you and of you and I will never forget them.
Love Danielle xo
