In Celebration of

Lusamma Ulahannan

January 1, 1949 -  November 15, 2024

On Friday November 15th 2024, Lusamma Ulahannan, in her 75th year, passed away
peacefully in her home, with her loving husband of 49 years, John Ulahannan, and daughter Lois, by her side.

Together they built a beautiful life with their children, Lijoy (Ann) and Lois (Ramana), and were blessed with 8 grandchildren, Lucas, Athena, Alexis, Lincoln, Stefan, Ethan, Samantha and Faith. Lusamma was fondly called "Amma" by her family.

Lusamma arrived in Canada from India in 1973 and worked most of her career as a Chemist at Pioneer Balloon Canada in Hamilton. She was meticulous in all she did and very particular about how things were done. She loved gardening, and the family home was surrounded by flowers and vegetable plants that she grew and nurtured. She was an incredible cook, as she took great pleasure in feeding all those she loved.

She, along with her 4 sisters and only brother, raised their families together and spent cherished holidays together. She loved all her nieces and nephews as her own, and they all adored her.
We take solace in knowing that she will be reunited with her late sisters and their Appapi and Ammachi.

Ever since Lusamma became ill in 2001, John was faithfully by her side till her last day. John was her devoted, loyal, and loving husband, who dedicated his life to serving his wife.

John and the entire family will greatly miss our beloved Amma.

Job 1:21: “The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lusamma's life during the visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton, on Thursday November 21st, 2024, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday November 22nd, 2024, at 11:00am at Annunciation of Our Lord Parish, 280 Limeridge Road West, Hamilton.

Burial to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, at 254 Garner Road West, Ancaster.

So sorry to hear about the demise of dear Lusamma. I knew her since I arrived in Hamilton in 1993. I would see her for all the events held by the HMS. She always adorned a very beautiful smile and would exchange a few words with me, whenever I met her. Now she is with the angels in heaven rejoicing after the suffering she had to undergo.
My condolences to John and the whole family.
