It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Concetta Moccia at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Wednesday, December 18, at the age of 97. During the near-century of her life, Concetta’s unwavering focus and commitment to her family was remarkable and unmistakable, as she leaves in them a lasting, binding legacy to be celebrated. Beloved wife of the late Leonardo Moccia for 58 years. Devoted mother of Michael and Theresa Moccia, and Nancy and the late Lucio Galli. Cherished nonna of Teresa and Tony Anziano, Len and Deirdre Moccia, Connie and Mike Costigan, Rosemarie and Brian McCutcheon, Chris and Stacy Moccia, and Matthew Galli. Proud great-grandmother of Mia, Serena, Luke, Jessica, Owen, Isabella, Olivia, Lucia, Jacob, Lauren and Hailey. Loving Zia to the Finelli and Marucci families of Hamilton. Pre-deceased by her brothers Pasquale Stravato and Vincenzo Stravato and sisters Maria Michela Marucci and Angela Maria Zeolla. Survived by her dear brother Giuseppe Stravato of Italy; she will be lovingly remembered by her sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews and extended family in Italy, and dear friends in Hamilton. Her family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital 7 Surgical Unit for their exceptional care. Family and friends may pay respects at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - "William J. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Annunciation of Our Lord Church, 280 Limeridge Road West, Hamilton on Monday, December 23rd at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum, Burlington.
