MARCH 28, 1940 - DECEMBER 29, 2017

Peacefully, surrounded by her family at St. Peters Hospital on December 29th, 2017 in her 78th year. Born in Roseto Valfortore, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1949. Dearly loved wife of Ugo Falcone. Loving mother of Joe, Frank (Tanya) and Mike (Sandi). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Brennan, Olivia, Curtis and Marcus. Dear sister of Filippo LaPenna (Philomena) and Lucy DiIorio (Phil). Dear sister-in-law of the late Vito (late Guiseppina), late Alfonso (late Angela) late Marietta (late Domenico), late Antonio (late Guiseppina), late Domenico (late Vita), Teodora (late Fausto), Ignazio (late Rosaria) and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the Oncology team at the Juravinski Cancer Centre for their compassion and support.

Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Wednesday from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 50 Brucedale Avenue East, Hamilton , on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 10:00 am. Parish Prayers at 3:30 p.m. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Burlington.

To the Falcone family;
We are saddened to hear of the loss of dear Mary. She always had a smile for everyone. I remember when my parents would run into her at Juravinski. She and my dad were both going through treatment at the time. She encouraged him through her own struggles. He passed on the 19th and am hoping that both will find peace free from their suffering. Zia Maria was a kind, gentle soul who shared many great memories with my late mom ( Maria Donata Sabetti) and my late dad (Salvatore Sabetti). As a child and living with the family on Simpson Avenue in Etobicoke I recall admiring her immensely. She was well spoken, beautiful and ever so kind. I will miss her but I know that my mom and her are getting caught up on old times. My deepest condolences to everyone in the family for your great loss.

Mary was such a kind and gentle soul. Always with a smile on her face and ready with a warm embracing hug. Christmas dinner at Tanya and Frank's made better by Mary's delicious cannoli and cannelloni! We will miss her dearly. Deepest condolences to Ugo, Joe, Frank and Tanya , Mike and Sandi and the entire Falcone family.

Both my mother and I are very shocked and so very,very saddened to hear of my comara’s passing! Comara Maria was one of the sweetest,kindest,most gentlest souls around.She was always there to offer a helping hand in any way she could. We spent many happy moments together going on picnics, going to Niagara Falls, and to Burlington beach many years ago when I was a teenager. But I got to know her even better as an adult,as I spent many years talking with her as I was cutting her hair at my salon.She leaves a void in our hearts,and in the hearts of any one who knew her.Our deepest condolences go out to compare Ugo,Joe,Frank and Mike and thier family and to the whole La Penna family in Toronto and the whole Falcone family. R.I.P. comara you will be dearly missed.🙏♥️
