In Celebration of

Mirella Infanti (nee Paravano)

February 3, 1931 -  January 29, 2025

Peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital with her family by her side on January 29th, at the age of 93, she entered into the arms of the Lord. Predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph Infanti. Cherished mother of Lorraine and John. Cherished Nonna of Sarah and Vanessa, who were the light of her life. Predeceased by her father and mother Virgilio and Angelica Paravano. Predeceased by her dear brother Arnaldo (Franca Paravano) and dear sister Velia (Santo Infanti). Sister-in-law of the late Evelina, Maria, Elio, Bruno, and Vittorio. Mirella will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews.

Mirella left her town in Northern Italy, at the age of 23 to marry her husband Joseph who had immigrated to Canada several years earlier. They opened a thriving business together and ran it for 20 years. Her home-made meals sustained many nurses and doctors who worked at the nearby hospital. Mirella never turned away anyone hungry and often offered coffee and a slice of pie to those who couldn’t pay. We learned to be charitable by her example.

After retiring, she and her husband travelled and enjoyed retired life. When her grandchildren were born, she devoted her life to help raise them.

Mirella’s warm smile made you feel the love in her heart and people often commented on the joy her smile would bring them.

Conversations with her provided valuable wisdom sprinkled with quick wit.

Mirella was a source of comfort and strength. We will miss her dearly.
