Norma was a very dear friend of my mother, Gwen Carey, and her passing has certainly left an emptiness at the Georgian. I often sat with the ladies for lunch and Norma and I had such fun joking about my mom. She had the best sense of humour. I shall miss her friendly smile and quick humour. The world was a better place with her in it.

Norma was a good friend of my mother, Margaret Harvey. They both worked at Sears and during, and after retirement, they would holiday together at resorts in Northern Ontario. In 1988, my Mum and I were going on a trip to visit relatives in England, followed by a 21 day European coach tour, and then a few days with relatives in Scotland. Norma came with us and we had a lot of fun. I remember we were taken to a beautiful al fresco restaurant in the hills surrounding Rome where we were entertained by a very good band. The singer danced with each of us. We laughed at Norma's shocked face at the end of the evening when he came around with a tip basket. I think I may have a picture somewhere! My mother and I send our condolences in the loss of Norma.
