Nunzia Sanvito


Entered into rest peacefully at her home in Caledonia surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Nunzia at the age of 87 was the beloved wife of Bruno for 57 years. Proud and much loved mother of Maria (Jim George), Josie (George Stubbs) and Anna (the late Barry Agnew). Devoted and loving nonna of Paul (Jade), Marc, Lucas, Nicole (Daniel), Matthew, Anthony, Theodore, Thomas and Andrew; and bisnonna to Isabella. Dear sister of Claricia (Tolmino Salciccioli) and predeceased by her two half-sisters and three half-brothers in Italy. Forever remembered by her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Nunzia graduated from the University of Rome in Obstetrics and was an Obstetrician in Italy. After coming to Canada, she continued her work in health care as a nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital before marrying her dear husband, Bruno and focusing her compassion and love on her family.

Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, "William J. Markey Chapel" 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Parish at Corpus Christi Site, 1694 Upper James Street, Hamilton on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Private cremation to follow.
