Obituary
SMOSARSKI, OLIVIA MARIE
September 12, 1995 - May 5, 2015
It is with both deep sorrow and gratitude for the time we were given together that we announce that God has welcomed our beautiful, vibrant and loving Olivia into Heaven. Liv was passionate, tenacious, affectionate, spirited and fiercely loyal, with a smile that could light up a room. She was full of life and enthusiasm, always stood up for what she believed was right, and held an amazing capacity for caring, love and forgiveness.
Our cherished “Livi Beans” will be forever missed by her mother Belinda Marazzato, her father David Smosarski, and her siblings Ben, Gabrielle and Max. She was greatly loved by her Nonna Maria Marazzato, “Gami” Elizabeth Smosarski, Angela, Domenic, Zias Diane & Adrienne, Zio Danny, her “Bowl the Feet team” cousins Danielle, Marc, Alexandra & Isabella, and a large circle of extended family and friends. Liv also adored and was treasured by Troy Walsh and his family.
The family is so grateful for the outpouring of love and support from our community. We are reeling from the loss of two precious young women and our prayers are also with Jordyn Hasting's family.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of her grandfathers, Giovanni Marazzato and Binnew “Ben” Smosarski, donations to Wellwood, a cancer support centre in Hamilton (www.wellwood.on.ca) would be gratefully appreciated. Olivia had dreams of travelling to South Africa for wildlife rehabilitation later this year, so support of World Wildlife Fund (www.wwf.ca ) would be welcomed. Because Liv was forever a staunch defender of the underdog, we also invite you to stand up to a bully or right an injustice in her honour.

Belinda & David,
I am so sorry for the tragic loss of your beautiful Olivia. I remember Olivia, probably about 12 years old, coming into the office to file. Her smile and laugh was infectious. She brought a ray of sunshine into the office.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. |
