Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at St. Peter's Hospital, Hamilton on April 2, 2016 at the age of 79. Loving wife to Wes for nearly 60 years. Always cherished mother to Tracy (John) Hubber and Mark (Sherry). Very proud and special grandma to Kirsten, Kirsten, Cale, and Katie. Much loved sister to Dianne Jackson. Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Norma Elwood and her brother Gerry. She will be missed by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends. Pat will be forever remembered for her passion for gardening, delicious baking and devotion to her grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff and doctors at the Juravinski Cancer Clinic and Hospital, and to St. Peter's Hospital staff for all their care and compassion, especially to Carla who made Pat's final moments peaceful.

Please pass our feelings on to Wes in the passing of his wife and best friend Pat.

While distance makes it difficult to be present in body and mind, our thoughts and prayers allow our souls to connect.

Pat has always been a strong presence for us and will forever remain a candle burning bright for Cheryl and I.

We will always look back at our time together, although brief and intermittent over the years and remember through the numerous photos we have of Pat (and Wes) and smile because we are able to say that we knew Pat and she left an indelible mark in our memories.

All our Love to all our friends from Ontario via Acapulco.

Dear Wes and Family.

We have all lost a very amazing and wonderful woman. Our friendship goes back over 40 years. We holidayed together even to Disneyworld and the Sarasotta area and then .......there were the visits up here helping and overseeing home construction. Pat was the cheerleader, cook, bottle washer and photographer...
She danced and celebrated with us at our grandson's wedding and at every sad or happy moment had a comforting word.

Her cooking and baking skills were legendary and a passion matched only by how much she loved her gardens. Wes was free to do the veggies but she loved her flowers.

Her deep love was the magic place that was the trailer life she and Wes shared near Paris. There are a lot of great stories that flowed out of the drinking and steaks in that add-a-room overlooking the little golf course.

Quiet, modest and smiling , she always had time for a friend in need and was loving and supportive to the many people who came into her circle. Not only did you get to hear about her amazing children and grandchildren but she also asked about your family and life and she was genuinely happy about your happiness.

She knew the value of a good friend and partner and never failed to be one. She will be missed.
Much love Charlie
