In Celebration of

Rene Adrien Joseph Gadoury

GADOURY, Rene Adrien Joseph "Frenchie" (Dofasco retiree)

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather, on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. His journey ended at the Hamilton General Hospital, at the age of 74, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband for over 53 years to Nancy (nee Adams). Proud and much loved awesome dad to Jeannine and Yvonne and her husband Felix Guzman. Devoted and loving "Da" of Kia Angelique and Amylou Renee (in Heaven) and Fernando, Lukas, Peter and Ben. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Fern Robitaille (the late RĂ©al), Gerard (Georgette), John Adams (Catharine), Craig Lomax (Mary Jancar); and predeceased by his brothers Felix, Louis and sister Jeannine Boisclair (the late Aurele). Forever remembered by his nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours; especially Cal, a neighbour who continues to go above and beyond. Rene loved his friends, his garden "Porta Backyarda", traveling and above all his family. A sincere heartfelt thank you to the VON for their exceptional care and compassion.

Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. Private cremation to follow.

Our condolences from the Davis Family. A favourite poem that someone gave me when my mother died... I hope it brings you comfort to know he is still with you....

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
