Dear Sheila. Brian And Jan have been keeping us updated. So sorry to hear the bad news. Never gave up hope of seeing you two at Isla again. You two sure made our winters special because you to were special! Thinking of you. Tom & Donna Acton.
So sorry to learn of Howard’s death from Cancer. Lots of fond memories going back of course to our parents’ generation, Sheila. I will try to drop in to the memorial.
We will always remember Uncle Howie’s sense of humour and fun loving nature. We will especially remember his kindness, that time many years ago, in opening his business on Labour Day so we could get another role of wallpaper to finish our labour day weekend project. Much love to Aunt Sheila, Craig, Sheila, Kate and Caryn at this difficult time.
We are so sorry to hear of Howards passing. We enjoyed many great times with him and Sheila at Isla Del Sol and will miss his laughter and wit dearly. Take care Sheila, our prayers are with your family at this time.
Very sad to hear about Howie's passing. When we first met him at the store those many years ago, little did we know we were starting a special journey together. During their years at Bay City, we learned a lot from Howard & Sheila's example regarding work, community, and family. I suspect that even many of our customers and suppliers sensed that there was a chemistry between Howard, Sheila, and staff that resulted in a certain 'magic' at the store during those years. The Johnstons were one in a million, and it pains us to loose a good guy like Howie. Our deepest sympathies to Sheila and family during this very sad time.
