Obituary
CIANCONE, Ronald Bernard

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing at home of Ronald Bernard Ciancone on Friday, April 22, 2016, at the age of 74. Ron has been lovingly married to Mary Lou Ciancone (Ferguson) for 48 years. Survived by his children Kelly (David), Heather (Lenny), James, Aaron (Annie), Amanda (Siviwe) and Leanne (Hubert) and 18 grandchildren (Sara, Grace, Emma, William, Jacob, Ethan, Joshua, Noah, Zachary, Daniel, Gabriella, Ella, Levi, Nathan, Isabella, Kayla, Mary Lima and Sophia). Dear brother of David Ciancone (Brenda) and Jeanette Lindsay and brother-in-law to Susan Ciancone, Murray and Anne Ferguson, Lloyd and Martha Ferguson and Ralph and Karen Izzo. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Pearle Ciancone. Ron will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends.

His love of family, sense of adventure and passion for food were undeniably contagious and enjoyed by everyone around him. Ron's lifelong entrepreneurial endeavours began with him and his brother taking over the Hillcrest Restaurant and their unique vision and perseverance gave rise to the Ancaster Mill in 1979. Ron and Marylou always encouraged and mentored their children to participate and grow in the family business with unwavering support. His children and their families will ensure that Ron's passion and spirit will endure. Ron was energetic, passionate and charismatic. He always lit up a room and made everyone feel welcome. He was genuinely interested in all people and was a proud and lifelong member of the community.

Visitation will take place in the chapel at the Ancaster Mill from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26 and from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, 196 Kenwood Ave., Burlington at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 28. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Bay Gardens Funeral Home 'William J. My sincere condolences to you Mary Lou and your family at this time. May the following poem by Kerry Dewsnap bring you some comfort. Carolyn, daughter of Lois & Bill Turner (Baker)

Remember me Remember me,
With a laugh and a smile
Remember me if just for a while
I am all around you never far
I’m the twinkling lights on the evening star
The warm caress of a summer breeze
The breathtaking colours of the autumn leaves
The smell of roses on a summer’s day
The giggling laughter of a child at play
The sound of birds in the early spring
So full of joy in the songs they sing
The dew on the grass
at the break of dawn
The low lying mist in the early morn
The wind that whispers through the trees at night
The rays of sun spreading out their light
So close your eyes,
Relax be still
You’ll know I am with you and always will
