Rosina 'Rose' Grant-Hose (nee Fiorino)

June 5, 1955 - January 6, 2019

It is with saddened and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our Nini, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, wife. Rosa peacefully passed away in her sleep in her 64th yr. after a courageous 57yr. battle with diabetes at St. Joes palliative care unit on Jan. 6, 2019. Predeceased by infant son Dominic. Rosa is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 18 yrs. Danny, loving mother of Vanessa , Nicole (Mike) and Katie (Nick) Nini to Adam, James, Charlie, Indy and Hudson, her parents Frank and Maria, siblings Sam(Karen), Louie(Antoinnette), Nadia Ciapanna (Corado), Elio, and Gina Gatto (Tony), furry friend Chico and many aunts uncles nieces and nephews. Rosa was a dedicated employee of Shoppers Drugmart of over 40yrs. leaving behind many colleagues and customers. Special thanks to Dr. Brimble, Dr. Hunt, and Dr. Savelli for many yrs. of care, all of the PD nurses at St. Joes peritoneal dialysis clinic and St. Joes palliative care unit for their care and compassion. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Wednesday from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Regina Mundi Roman Catholic Church, 631 Mohawk Road West, Hamilton on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 10:00 am. So very sorry to hear about your loss. Rose was a very strong and determined person who battled daily with much more than her fair share of medical issues. Vanessa and Dan you both were both an amazing source of strength and love for Rose and my thoughts and prayers are with you. May she Rest In eternal Peace with her son Dominic.
