Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton on Sunday, February 21, 2021. Shirley, at the age of 91 was the beloved wife of the late Sheldon Upper. Predeceased by her parents John and Maude Toomey. Devoted and loving mother to Lynda (Dave) Dupchak, the late Susan (Jim) Greenaway, Danny (Terry) Upper, Patricia (Donald) Jones, Debbie (Jack) Jones and Cheryl Gallant. Forever in the hearts of her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by her great granddaughter Brooke Dupchak, sisters and brother; May Rogers, Edna Green, Dorothy Lewington, Alice Billington, Sadie Tilbury and John Toomey. Dear sister-in-law to Margaret Toomey. Always remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and many cherished friends.

A Celebration of Shirley's life with public visitation will take place on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON.

There will be a private by invitation only service taking place.
