Shirley Myers

June 5, 1937 -  April 19, 2017


It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital on April 19, 2017 in her 80th year. Survived by her loving children; Steve (Janet), John (Shelley), Linda (Dan) and Cathy (Thurlow); devoted grandchildren; Danny, Jessica, Bryce, Zak, Shyanne, Tyler, Ryan and great grandchildren Lailah and Cash. Shirley will be remembered for her sweet and friendly nature by all.

A memorial service will be held at St. Dominic's Parish, 2415 Rebecca Street, Oakville on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 1010 Botanical Drive, BURLINGTON (905.527.0405). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the CNIB would be appreciated.

Grandma loved to celebrate the end of the school year with us by treating us to a dairy queen chocolate dipped cone. It was always a fun outing that we all looked forward to. She was a little disappointed when we went off to school but her and mom went anyways!
