Peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday January 17, 2017. Beloved husband of Maria. Cherished father of Tina Spezzano Monteiro (Carlos) and Giovanni Spezzano (Lucia). Loving Grandfather of Matthew Monteiro and Maddalena Spezzano. Predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Gaetana Spezzano and parents in law, Giuseppe and Maddalena Giglietta. Fondly remembered by brothers Franco Spezzano (Pina) and Mario Spezzano; sister in law and brother in law Tita and Antonio Angemi;
Sisters in law, Franca Licandro and Carmela Corda and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Special thanks to Moe and Kara Juteau, Geoff and Jennifer Lynn Joseph and nurses and doctors at St. Joseph's Hospital, specially to Dr. S.E. Macaluso.

Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Friday January 20, 2017 from 2-4 and from 6-9. Funeral Mass will be held at Regina Mundi Roman Catholic Church, 631 Mohawk Road West, Hamilton, on Saturday January 21, at 10 am. followed by entombment at Resurrection Cemetery, Ancaster.

Papa Joe was such a bright ray of sunshine to my days working with him at Joseph Haulage.

He would joke with me daily, and occasionally bring me an espresso to start my morning. I would consider him like a grandfather to me.

Papa Joe will be greatly missed. He and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
