Susan DeSimone
March 21, 1956 - August 5, 2016
Obituary
DeSimone, Susan Anne

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Susan Anne DeSimone (nee Kenyeres), 60, of Stoney Creek, surrounded by her loving family on August 5, 2016 after an 18 month battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Luke DeSimone. Cherished mother of Kelsey (nee: Round) (Stuart) MacNeil, step-mother of Christina (nee: DeSimone) (Cameron) West, Lisa DeSimone and Jessica DeSimone (Paul Sferrazza). She is survived by her loving mother, Barbara Kenyeres and will be returning to her father Charles Kenyeres. Deeply missed by her siblings, Laurie (Randy) Kenyeres, Cindy (Jim) Maskell and Joseph (Kelly) Kenyeres. Loved Nonna to Luke and Diana West. She will also be missed by many family and friends. Susan was a 24-year employee of London Life, culminating her career at Truvision Financial for 8 years. She dedicated many years of her life to giving back to the community, most recently with the Bursary of Hope for Autism, providing opportunity to Autistic children. She never hesitated to put anyone before herself and was a shoulder for many people to lean on. Susan was a beautiful person whose joy and love spread to everyone she met. Her passing will be felt by many. The family wishes to thank the staff at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice who took such good care of her.

For those who wish, and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice or Bursary of Hope for Autism would be appreciated.

My heartfelt thoughts of love and sympathy go out to the whole family on learning of Sue's passing. She fought the good fight and, bless her, leaves us with lots of good memories and the glow of her life that shone on one and all and will never be extinguished. It was much too soon to be taken from you all but she left a lasting mark on everyone's hearts and a legacy that extends far beyond her years. Let that give you strength.
