June 6, 1939 -  March 6, 2017

It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the passing of Teresa while surrounded by family at St. Peter's hospital on March 6, 2017 in her 78th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Pietro (October 2016). Survived by her loving children Santo (Michele), Lisa Muia (Joe) and Peter (Melissa). Adoring Nonna to Peter, Cortez, Alessandro, Melina, Michael and Zoe. Dear sister of Rocco (Aurora), Mario (Dora), Aurora Nocita (the late Antonio), Rosina Riggitano, the late Peppino (Marianna), the late Antonio (Concetta), the late Nina and Bruno Manella and the late Maria of Argentina. Predeceased by her parents Teresa and Giuseppe, in-laws and daughter-in-law. She is survived by family in Italy and Alberta. She was happiest when surrounded by family and while cooking her famous lemon cookies, pizza and rice balls. She will be dearly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. A special thank you to the caring and compassionate staff at St. Peter's Hospital. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 165 Prospect Street North, Hamilton on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 10:00 am. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery.

it's know to be a cliche at funerals about people who have passed "how they will be missed and how good they were"?
my aunt teresa was one of two people i met in my life that were and are the most purest and kindest people i ever knew the other is my mother !
