I was sad to read this morning of the passing of Tom. I had the pleasure and privilege of working with Tom at Sears in Burlington. He was an excellent salesman and never failed to brighten everyone's day. We used to call him the 'Senior Statesman' of the Commission Sales force, even then! He was the only person who could call our Store Manager by his first name and get away with it! Tom was always enthusiastic and that would rub off on to everyone else. He was always quick with a joke but because of his nursing experience he would be the first person we called on to help if a customer or staff was not feeling well. I remember one time we were having coffee in the mall and I noticed how much sugar he was putting in his coffee- he said, laughing, it was his one vice! So much enthusiasm, so much positivity yet so much compassion and care. A true gentleman.
