In Celebration of

Tristan Damasio

July 15, 2012 -  June 30, 2018

DAMASIO, Tristan Matthew
July 15, 2012-June 30, 2018

Surrounded by his family in the comfort of his home, Tristan gained his wings on Saturday June 30, 2018 in the loving arms of his mother and father, at the age of 5. Cherished son of Cody and Marie Damasio. Adored big brother of Amelie.

Tristan was most known for his bravery and strength during his three year battle with DIPG brain cancer. Although, his family and friends know him most for his tenderness, loving nature, silliness and sweet disposition. Tristan spent his days, loving life, seeking adventure in travel and fun, collecting his most prized toys, and catching Pokemon. With a mission to “catch them all” he also captured the hearts of everyone who was blessed enough to meet him and be inspired through his journey. Tristan will be deeply missed but the lessons he taught us all about true compassion, bravery and unwavering faith in his ability to overcome obstacles, will live on in the hearts of everyone who loved him. Even in the darkest of days facing this terrible disease, our superhero fought with positivity and found the joy in every moment. “Be happy, life’s good” “You can always find a way” words to live by from the Bravest Boy ever known. The entire Damasio and Bikich Family would like to express their gratitude for the support and love shown during Tristan’s courageous battle. Those who were touched by Tristan’s beautiful but brief life are invited to attend the services in celebration of all he was and will forever be.

Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral Mass and Celebration will be held at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Ave, Grimsby on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to a GoFund me page that has been established by friends and family to support the Damasio’s during this incredibly painful time. Campaign name “In Honour of Tristan the Brave” https://www.gofundme.com/in-honour-of-tristan-the-brave

So, so sorry to hear of Tristan's passing. It was wonderful to get to know him and his family a little bit and to provide him some care and comfort. He battled very bravely and now he is surely at peace. You will have wonderful memories of him to cherish always.

I did not know Tristan nor his family, but I just wanted you to know how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Heaven must have needed an extra special Angel.
May Tristan play among the stars and his smile shine down on his family.
